Evolene smiling in front of a large engraved gong

Hello, my name is Evolene and I have devoted the last 26 years of my life to learning different practices that aim at finding Ai – Ki.

I was drawn to Aikido when I was about 10 years old. It became the center of my life and has brought so much joy to it! Around the same time, I saw a beautiful movie happening in the Himalayas and was fascinated by the monastery practices there as well as the beautiful mountains.

At age 16, I discovered Reiki from a dear family friend who healed me when I knocked out my four front teeth. The dentist had pulled one out thinking it was broken and then put it back in. Thanks to the Reiki treatments, all my teeth made it — and it has been over 20 years!

I was very excited to learn about another Japanese practice and started my Reiki training when I was 19. I then became a Reiki master teacher in 2013 and have spent countless hours doing sessions for people, in person and remotely. A few years ago, I heard about a Sound Healing school using Himalayan singing bowls from Nepal and knew immediately I wanted to learn this modality as well.

I fulfilled that wish following my mother’s passing in 2026. Aiki Natural Healing is dedicated to her, for giving me the motivation to become the best healer I can be.

Beyond the practice

Aside from my practices, I love spending time running in the mountains, swimming, gardening, listening to music, making art and other creative activities. I also worked in scientific research and completed a PhD (ECEE, CU Boulder) in biomedical imaging – focused on developing photoacoustic devices.
